Position Description Join the Capability Assurance (CAM) team in Transmission and Distribution Engineering (TDE) in ESB Engineering and Major Projects. We are responsible for the Quality Management processes, safety coordination, and developing the Engineering capability within the TDE group, and the recruitment of staff both internal and external. The CAM team is a strategically focused team that works across TDE delivering quality, safety, and resourcing services to all areas.
We are looking for a Quality Specialist to join us on our journey to a Brighter Future. The Quality Specialist will be responsible for supporting TDE staff in the achievement of quality targets and ongoing quality improvement plans. The Quality Specialist will lead quality excellence in TDE, ensuring that all services are delivered consistently, meeting all internal and external requirements.
Key Responsibilities Provide leadership within TDE through promoting and monitoring compliance with procedures and good practices and providing support to individuals responsible for ensuring compliance during service delivery.Manage all Quality Documentation for TDE, ensuring it is up to date and fit for purpose.Produce and manage an annual Quality Improvement Plan for TDE.Continually improve quality and processes for all services delivered by TDE.Encourage and embed a culture of continuous improvement throughout TDE.Schedule and manage a programme of quality audits in TDE.Manage competency register for production, verification, and approval of all documents.Knowledge, Skills and Experience A minimum of 7 years' work experience in engineering design, project delivery, or a quality specialist role.Strong knowledge and experience of Quality Management Processes.A strong work ethic with a clear focus on delivery to safety, time, quality, and cost objectives.Strong commercial and project management capability.The demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.A flexible approach to work, especially where necessary to deliver excellent customer service.Excellent communication and report writing skills.A proven track record of success, contributing to the training and development of technical professionals.Qualifications Either 3rd Level qualification or equivalent work experience is essential.
Location Your base will be at one of our offices situated at One Dublin Airport Central or Eastgate Cork, and travel to project locations as required is a key requirement of the role. The successful candidate may combine remote/smart working within the jurisdiction, with attendance at base for in-person collaboration, the frequency of which is agreed with the manager and subject to ongoing review.
