Our Purpose At our Quality Engineering Group in Medtronic Mervue, plc, we focus on the support of the manufacturing and operation processes for Medtronic Mervue, Galway. Quality Technicians are directly involved in ensuring compliance with Quality System requirements and in monitoring and resolving quality-related issues on our production processes.
A Day in the life of: Ensure compliance with Quality System requirements in the form of Quality Assurance. Review and modify Quality Procedures and other related procedures. Review and approve the release of Device History Records. Provide reports/information on quality-related issues and work to define and implement solutions. Support Engineering and complete assignments assigned by Supervisor. Participate in and lead cross-functional teams as required. Participate in internal audits as required. Complete process checks and lead/participate in CAPA's (Corrective and Preventative Actions) and complete quality tasks related to VSM's (Value Stream Meetings). Interface with other departments to ensure adherence to Quality system requirements. Participate in job-related training courses. Follow all environmental, health & safety rules and procedures and participate in safety and environmental activities to improve the workplace for all employees. Key Skills & Experience Minimum Level 6 qualification in a relevant Engineering or Science discipline. Requires 2 years of relevant experience in a highly regulated environment. Ability to work as part of a team. Strong technical and problem-solving ability. Working knowledge of Quality System requirements within the medical device industry. Knowledge of CMM techniques and programming is desirable. Strong organizational, communication, and written skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages. Physical Job Requirements
