Position: Quantity Surveyor (Civils) With a significant increase in contracts and work opportunities, Cafferkey Civils Limited are entering an exciting new phase of growth and are looking to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team.
Duties and Responsibilities We are looking for a commercially aware, highly reliable, and hardworking candidate, who will work as part of our team and manage the following activities: Quantity Surveying role on civil engineering and ground works projects from commencement on site to final account stage on multi-million Euro subcontracts, including contract administration, re-measures, managing variations, and submitting valuations.
Agreement of interim payments for valuations with clients and subcontractors.
Preparation of monthly contract review reports.
Tendering for civil engineering and ground works contracts using the company's inhouse tendering system and rates.
Managing supply chain for tendering and procurement purposes to ensure competitive and competent supply chain is maintained.
Role Requirements Degree qualified in Construction Economic or Quantity Surveying, with minimum 3 year's post qualification experience in civil engineering and ground works.
Proven track record of successfully carrying out and managing similar duties and responsibilities on previous projects.
Candidates must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, and other construction software.
Candidates must be flexible, highly motivated and used to working independently to tight deadlines.
Candidates will require excellent written and spoken English to fulfil the responsibilities of the position.
The successful candidate must be European citizen and be eligible to work without the need for a permit.
Remuneration Package: €55,000 - €70,000 DOE including performance related bonus Fully expensed company van Note: No agencies should apply Skills: Quantity Surveying Valuations Contract Administration RIAI Form of Contracts Benefits: Company Vehicle
