Call Gary today at (phone number removed) Your new role includes: * Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, and other project resources.
* Budget Management: Develop and maintain project budgets, ensuring that costs are controlled and the project remains financially viable.
* Tendering and Procurement: Assist in the preparation of tenders and procurement of subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
* Contract Administration: Review and administer contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Ensure that all contractual obligations are met.
* Cost Reporting: Track project costs and provide regular cost reports to stakeholders, identifying potential cost savings or concerns.
* Value Engineering: Suggest alternatives to optimize project costs while maintaining quality and meeting specifications.
* Risk Management: Identify financial risks related to the project and take proactive measures to mitigate them.
* Change Management: Manage changes to the project scope, budget, and timelines, and assess their impact on project costs.
* Site Visits & Assessments: Conduct regular site visits to monitor the progress and quality of work, ensuring that costs are aligned with forecasts.
* Final Account Settlement: Oversee the final accounting process, ensuring all costs are captured and agreed upon by all parties.
Experience you need: * Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
* Strong understanding of construction processes, contracts, and financial management.
* Proficient in relevant software/quantity surveying tools.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
* Professional certifications are a plus.
