JO-2411-543975 Our client, a precision engineering company based in Swords, requires a Process Development Engineer to join their team. Working with a talented team of engineers, the successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of automated process equipment into a production environment. The scope of the role involves concept design, right the way through to validation of the equipment prior to delivering it to the production environment.
RoleDesign, develop and integrate automated process equipment into a production environment.Creating practical automated systems and the software to control them.To support the process development of new products in collaboration with the relevant product divisions.Understanding problems or stakeholder briefs and developing solutions to satisfy them.The justification, specification, and implementation of new process equipment.RequirementsEducated to at least degree level (2:1 or above) in Mechatronic Engineering.Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role with a proven track record of delivering projects.A good knowledge of PLC/HMI programming, sensors, software and control systems.A good knowledge of materials and manufacturing techniques.Good project planning and project management skills.Competent in the use of 3D CAD packages.Familiar with geometric tolerancing, tolerance stacks, limits and fits.You should hold a full clean driving licence.A working knowledge of Siemens NX would be advantageous, though full training would be provided.An understanding of CE requirements and machinery directives preferred.Understanding of metrology, measurement techniques and calibration preferred.
