Are you an experienced R&D engineer with a passion for innovation and an aptitude for problem-solving?
We're looking for a dynamic individual to join our Core Business Initiatives (CBI) team, driving the development and integration of cutting-edge materials, processes, and technologies into our products.
What You'll Do: Lead and Support Projects: Spearhead or collaborate on projects to explore and validate new materials, processes, or technologies for our products.
Technical Documentation: Prepare detailed technical documents in line with regulatory and design control standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various teams to gather input and develop plans that meet stakeholder requirements.
Experimental Testing: Develop protocols, manage product builds, and oversee testing, transportation, and storage.
Data Analysis: Conduct statistical analyses and create comprehensive reports with your findings and recommendations.
R&D Representation: Represent the R&D function in cross-functional teams throughout the New Product Commercialization process.
What We're Looking For: Educational Background: A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field (required).
A postgraduate qualification in a related discipline (preferred).
Professional Experience: 3-5 years in a technical role, ideally in medical device R&D, Sustaining Engineering, or Quality.
Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience: Experience in medical device design principles, material selection, design concept validation, and test method development.
Knowledge of medical device design verification/validation and design/process FMEAs.
Knowledge of manufacturing, mechanisms, materials, tolerance-analysis, and design-for-manufacturing.
Strong initiative and ability to overcome obstacles while balancing multiple priorities.
Excellent attention to detail and understanding of design controls.
Proven track record in successful cross-functional technical teams.
Exceptional problem-solving, decision-making, and root cause analysis skills.
Effective communication skills for all organizational levels.
Proficiency with MS Office suite.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Experience: Project Management experience Familiarity with medical device regulations and requirements (GMP, QSR, ISO).
