Sitting within the wider Quantitative Services group of EY, the Research & Development (R&D) tax team is a highly successful team of tax and engineering specialists who work on a variety of high-profile clients.
The team continues to grow from strength to strength, working with cutting-edge companies currently performing R&D in Ireland and also looking to invest in future R&D in Ireland.
The Opportunity: This job offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with a background in corporate tax to join EY's fast-growing and highly successful R&D Tax practice.
The team is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic tax senior manager to be part of a growing and dynamic National practice.
This job provides a unique opportunity to proactively contribute to growing a business.
Responsibilities: Your main responsibility will be to work very closely with our clients from across a range of industry sectors.
Leveraging your tax technical knowledge, you will be responsible for analyzing qualifying cost aspects of their R&D projects and assisting in determining whether those costs are eligible for R&D tax relief.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Facilitate application of Irish tax law and Irish Revenue guidelines to identify those R&D costs eligible for tax relief.Responsible for high-quality delivery of advice and solutions to clients, ensuring management of risk and reputation.Reviewing R&D tax credit calculations in order to prepare claims for submission to Irish Revenue.Managing multiple engagements and delegating and reviewing work prepared by other team members.Supporting the business in winning new clients through the preparation and delivery of proposals.Producing project budgets and timetables that are efficient and cost-effective.Managing the broad portfolio of R&D clients to ensure quality and risk management procedures are continuously adhered to.Consistently monitoring work in progress and ensuring all fees are issued in a timely manner.Leading or working as an effective member of a project team, exhibiting strong communication skills and being able to work cooperatively and create synergies with other team members of different technical skill sets.Person: Excellent report writing, communication, interview skills, and presenting ability.Excellent business development skills, able to identify and convert opportunities.
