Job Title: Reconciliation Accountant Department: Finance Reports to: Group Financial Controller Location: BoyleSports Dundalk (Hybrid) The Role: As our new Reconciliation Accountant, you will join the BoyleSports Finance team at a time of positive strategic growth and will become a core part of the Finance team, by supporting and driving that growth.
You will ensure financial balance sheet accounts and bank reconciliations are prepared and reviewed, adding supporting documentation for validity, accuracy and completeness.
You will support the Finance team with valuable informative and insightful information and reports, in results and profit-driven organisation, with our core values of Dynamic, Fearless, Excellence and Personal at their core.
Key Responsibilities: Monthly/ Quarterly reconciliation of all Balance Sheet accounts, including the completion of relevant schedules to include cash in hand and bank account reconciliations.
Own and execute the Group intercompany reconciliation.
Liaison with the payroll department to fully reconcile all salary and relevant payroll control accounts.
Reconciliation of gaming royalty payments and progressive jackpot payments at a supplier level.
Preparation of the quarterly betting duty returns and liaising with Revenue/HMRC where necessary.
Investigating reconciling items and driving resolution with stakeholders across the business.
Streamline and enhance existing processes, develop and document detailed procedures for specific reconciliations.
To instil confidence in all reports and management information distributed.
Requirements: Part-qualified Accountant with experience working in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of finance and accounting concepts.
Can-do attitude with acute attention to detail and a continuous process improvement mindset.
Strong communication skills, and the ability to build good relationships with all stakeholders.
Computer literate with good knowledge of the use of accounting software and Excel.
Ability to work as part of a team, as well as under your initiative.
Passionate commitment to learning and development.
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple, often conflicting, deadlines.
