About the roleTo drive & manage the overall sustainable performance of the Sweet and Beverages technologies. Determine how we best develop, configure assets, working capital, manufacturing & supply chain networks to deliver on our strategies and commercial plans. Determine appropriate levers to be addressed to enhance margin (PIP) (e.g., Plant Transformation Activity, Process Technology Improvements, etc.). Maintain market relevant collections / identify and drive innovation big bets alongside Taste Business Development managers. Mobilise & integrate cross-functional teams to define and manage the execution parameters specific to the technologies that enable successful delivery against EUM/BU strategies, profitability, and growth targets. Provide deep technical knowledge and competitor intelligence of products on a regional scale, collaborating with Global Taste Portfolio Managers to ensure that EUM strategies are differentiated in the Market.
Key responsibilitiesDefine and drive Sub Technology strategy, including usage and alignment with Taste and EUM strategy.Ensure competitive intelligence from a technical and market positioning viewpoint.Drive performance of the product through customer differentiation and margin, leveraging the breadth and depth to build value for EUMs across the European sub-regions and ensure the product offering is equipped to stay ahead of competition.Conduct regular reviews of the Collections to understand where Taste technologies can be applied and conduct relevant technology and application validations.Drive Technology credibility internally and to the market. Involvement with taste Business development managers to drive credibility.Product Managers act as a key expert in Technologies (regionally) to:Determine the optimized composition of the Finished Good Portfolio aligned to Strategy.Determine efficient Business Terms (Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ), Lead Times, and Stocking Policy (Made to Order, Made to Stock).Determine and communicate Target Margins and Pricing guardrails.Determine how we best configure assets, manufacturing & supply chain networks.Qualifications and skillsBachelor's degree in a business or technical field (or equivalent experience).Postgraduate / Masters Qualification desirable.Extensive experience and knowledge of the food and beverage industry, desirable if experience is within a flavour house or deep knowledge of Taste technologies.
