Dedicated to stoma care Location : Ballina Department : Operations Summary: The Reliability Engineering is a key role in ensuring the site delivers improved line performance and driving enhanced maintenance effectiveness.
This role will report to maintenance organisation and will be a cornerstone in the sites journey to world class maintenance.
A key element of the role is to be responsible for assessing reoccurring breakdowns / line performance issues, implementing viable solutions to eliminate the causes at the root cause all the while leveraging the HPS tools to achieve sustained high performing equipment.
The role will collaborate closely with the wider maintenance team as well as utilising existing expertise in both other onsite functions as well as within the wider Hollister network.
Responsibilities: Utilizing line performance data on a weekly and monthly basis to identify trends and causes of equipment failures.
Develop solutions to address the true root cause and work with relevant functions to ensure these solutions get implemented in timely manner.
Utilise external maintenance benchmarks (e.g.
AMIS) to develop an understanding of the sites strengths and weaknesses in relation to maintenance systems.
Work with maintenance management to devise a strategy that can be implemented to address these gaps.
Act as a coach / mentor with other maintenance and manufacturing groups to enhance the overall site capability on reliability engineering and how it impacts site performance.
Assessment of site maintenance costs to identify sources of financial waste and development of solutions to reduce costs where practical.
Understand the process by evaluating process and technical data, literature, and work closely with the Support functions.
Facilitate, and where required, lead implementation of HPS tools in maintenance function, in particular taking a leading role in implementation of PM, TPM and QCO elements.
Develop and enforce an Asset operations plan that will ensure optimum utilisation and operating efficiency of Ostomy's Production assets, and development of an asset maintenance plan to ensure adequate levels of sustaining effective maintenance for each plant asset within Ostomy.
Ensure asset ABC analysis is as per PM standard and data is updated at an appropriate frequency (e.g.
annual).
Pilot the use of a proactive approach to maintenance.
Ensuring Preventative / Predictive maintenance are effective in preventing equipment failure through the use of risk assessment tools (e.g.
FMEA, Reliability Based Maintenance).
Support the implementation of Operator Asset Care (OAC) principles, thus ensuring that performance issues are identified and addressed at the earliest opportunity.
Subject Matter Expert for CMMS system, support end users as required in using the system.
May be required to provide training to ensure standardised use of CMMS.
Engage with wider Hollister network and with other local manufacturing sites in region to develop a support network.
Develop an understanding of best practices at these sites and how these can be transplanted into Ballina site.
Adherence to life cycle asset management (LCAM) process throughout the entire life cycle of new assets and conduct root cause failure analysis (RCFA) by understanding and applying failure data analysis techniques, perform analysis of asset and production equipment performance to include asset utilisation, overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), Mean Time between failure (MTBF), Asset Costing report including parts and production losses and remaining useful life as guiding parameters.
Demonstrate a collaborative approach with process engineering & project engineering to review maintenance and installation plans for new equipment and provide reliability and maintainability specifications for changes, to ensure the reliability and maintainability of new and modified installations.
Role will on occasion act as back up to Maintenance Supervisor for short periods to cover holidays.
etc.
Work Experience Required: 5+ years' work experience.
Technical Skills and Experience in Reliability Engineering Education Requirements : Bachelors degree in Engineering Essential Functions of the Role: Strong IT Skills, and proficient in the use of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems .

Hollister Production System) would be beneficial.
Strong communication skills both verbal and written are required, and strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to work with multiple functions and stakeholders to derive at viable solutions, and a proven track record of successful implementation of these solutions.
