An exciting opportunity has arisen within our organisation for a Residential Manager to join our Adult Residential Services in Kildare to work as part of a larger management team, reporting directly to the Area Director.
This post will enable the successful candidate to lead management and staff teams to make a lasting impression on people's lives while enhancing their own managerial skills.
This exciting role will involve working with many other disciplines as part of a wider team that pays attention to the will and preference of the people we support in living self-directed, connected and fulfilling lives. Person Specification · The ability to lead teams in driving forward the ethos of Muiriosa Foundation – always keeping individuals at the centre of service provision by promoting self-determination and self-direction.
· Have a robust knowledge and understanding of HIQA standards and statutory requirements and their responsibilities as a Person In Charge.
· Full current driving licence.
· Be flexible and capable of managing competing priorities within their workload.
· Be able to demonstrate an ability to effectively communicate with and manage a team of Social Care Leaders/ CNMI.
· Be able to demonstrate an ability to effectively communicate with the individuals we support, their families, other professionals and people important in the individuals' life.
· Be able to demonstrate an ability to adapt their interpersonal skills within the context of the situation.
· Be expected to work on their own initiative as well as being a team player supporting their colleagues.
· Support, supervise and motivate the staff teams reporting to them.
· Have a key focus in supporting residents to be active citizens within their local community.
· The successful candidate will be expected to maintain up to date and accurate records.
· Have excellent interpersonal, planning, data management, IT and organizational skills with the ability to work on own initiative.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the following skills for the role: · Have Qualification appropriate to the role e.g.
RNID/Social Care.
(Registered with CORU or have commenced the registration process) · 5 years' supervisory/managerial experience qualifying them to take on the role of PIC.
· Completed a Management Course.
· Suitability as outlined above.
· Willingness to participate in a flexible roster to include participation on the on-call rota.
