About the role An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Capital Markets division for a Risk Management and Control Senior Associate.
Reporting to Risk Management and Control Associate Director, this role will act as the key point of contact for Risk Management and Control within the 1LoD in Capital Markets and will ensure that the needs and objectives of the Second Line of Defence (Compliance, Risk, and Legal) and Third Line of Defence (Internal Audit) are fully understood and communicated across Capital Markets.
In the role, the successful candidate will:
Be responsible for the day-to-day risk management and controls ensuring that the 1st line in Capital Markets continues to operate to the highest regulatory and conduct expectations, which will include the drafting of relevant local procedure documents.Own and manage risks directly.
Responsible for corrective actions to address processes and control deficiencies.Ensure that the needs and objectives of the 2nd and 3rd lines of defence are fully understood and communicated across Capital Markets and any required remediation plans are properly owned and delivered.Be responsible for the periodic completion of management information for discussion at the relevant forums.Liaise with all Capital Markets teams and the second-line control functions.Involved in the implementation of appropriate Risk and Compliance training across Capital Markets.Comply with the Risk and Compliance frameworks, policies and procedures associated with the role.About you We are looking for somebody who has the following background and skills:
