Rockwell PLC / SCADA Engineer 1474We have a new opportunity for an experienced Senior Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team in Dublin. In this position, you will play a crucial role in introducing new equipment, building and qualifying PLC/SCADA systems, and contributing to groundbreaking projects with one of the world's leading pharmaceutical companies.
 
As a Senior Automation Engineer, you'll have the chance to work with the latest in automation technology, including Rockwell Suite and advanced PLC/SCADA systems. This role provides a unique opportunity to develop and implement digital twins and test environments that are at the cutting edge of manufacturing automation.
Key ResponsibilitiesIntroduce new equipment and build Rockwell PLC/SCADA systems for high-profile projects.Contribute to the generation of engineering documentation such as User Requirement Specifications, Functional Design Specifications, and System Architectures.Participate in the creation of project risk assessments (QRA, ERES, DIA) and validation documentation (Validation Plans, SAT & IOQ Protocols, Requirement Traceability Matrices).Provide technical input to change control processes and manage third-party vendors to deliver equipment meeting the appropriate quality and scheduling requirements.Execute IOQ Protocols and update standard operating procedures based on project scope.Support equipment installation, perform root cause analysis, and troubleshoot issues related to equipment control systems.Ensure the successful qualification and start-up of equipment and liaise with synchronised project teams to align efforts across multiple sites.Support a safe working environment by complying with all pertinent environmental health/safety practice, rules, and regulations.QualificationsBachelor's or master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Life Sciences.5+ years' relevant experience in manufacturing automation related to Biopharmaceutical Formulation/Fill/Finish or Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) facilities.Extensive experience with Rockwell Suite, including FTBatch, FTView, and Rockwell PLCs.Experience Siemens S7 PLCs is also beneficial.A background in control systems automation and proven ability to support several automated control systems, and to manage OEM vendors from a quality & technical perspective.Knowledge of GAMP software development lifecycle.Independent, self-motivated, and highly organised, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.What SimoTech Can OfferRole provides a high degree of autonomy to allow the successful candidate to reach their full potential.Develop new skills and enhance technical ability by working with innovative technologies in a multi-disciplined environment.Opportunity to work with large corporate clients on exciting capital projects.By submitting my data (CV), I consent to SimoTech collecting and storing my personal data, as outlined in the SimoTech Privacy Statement which I have read.
