During your apprenticeship, you will be paid a weekly wage, financially supported for travel to college, or provided with accommodation.

With BAM's construction sites located across the country, we endeavour to place you in a location of your choice—helping you answer the question, "What if my future starts here?"  Your mission On completion of this two-year apprenticeship, you will become a fully qualified scaffolder, with a QQI Level 5 Certificate in Scaffolding.
As a scaffolder, you will be carrying out tasks such as fixing scaffolding to structures using a range of specialised tools and equipment.
By the end of your training, you will be able to: Demonstrate knowledge of the different types of scaffolding systems in use Plan, prepare, measure, calculate, assemble and dismantle scaffolding systems Inspect and maintain all components of scaffolding Identify potential hazards and apply appropriate measures to resolve incidents Effectively communicate decisions to a range of stakeholders   Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a school or college leaver who is looking to start their career in the construction industry.
You'll need good communication skills, be an excellent team worker but also be able to use your initiative.
As this is an apprenticeship, you must be prepared to work towards your qualification whilst also working on site and gaining the experience you need to succeed.
To undertake this apprenticeship, you must:  Be at least 18 years of age.
Have a QQI Level 5 (or equivalent).
Have a Pass Grade in Maths & English at Level 5 (or Equivalent) at time of start date What's in it for you?
On completion of this two-year apprenticeship, you will become a fully qualified scaffolder, with a QQI Level 5 Certificate in Scaffolding.
