Senior Accountant/Financial Analysts - Public Sector FTCA well-known public sector organisation based in North Dublin with a flexible hybrid model (two days office) has a number of requirements for Senior Accountants and Financial Analysts for initial 12-month contracts due to system implementation projects with January start dates.
This client is looking for experienced Accountants with month-end experience.
Salary is €60,000 - €65,000 DOE.
Key responsibilities of the Senior Accountant Public Sector – 12 month FTC Reporting to the Finance Manager, the candidate will play a role supporting the finance function in day-to-day activities.
The role will require the candidate to provide support to the Finance Team so they can focus on the testing and implementation of a new financial management system.The candidate will ensure timely and accurate completion of day, week and month end activities during this time of testing/transition.Support the Finance Manager on day-to-day tasks.Assist in the preparation, interrogation and consolidation of the monthly management accounts.Ensure timely and accurate completion of month end tasks.Review of revenue reconciliations.Continuous improvement of financial reporting processes.Ensure high-quality and up-to-date procedure documents are maintained.Provide analysis and support to the Finance Manager on any ad hoc projects.Maintain a robust control environment ensuring continuous improvement of processes and escalation of risks and issues to Finance Manager in a timely manner.Coordination with various stakeholders including both finance and non-finance personnel.Maintain open communications with Finance management, keeping them informed of any relevant issues or queries.Key requirements of the Senior Accountant Public Sector – 12 month FTC Have a professional accountancy qualification and be admitted to membership of a recognised professional body of accountants.Have a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience.Demonstrate robust organizational and time management skills.Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Demonstrate strong attention to detail.The ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.About the job Contract Type: Temporary
