Details of the offer

Our client, a Public Service body, is currently looking to recruit a Senior Accountant to join their Senior Management team on a contract basis.
The role will report to the Financial Controller, and be responsible for the management of a small team.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities Provide financial, strategic and operational support and advice to the Financial Controller and other members of the team, including:
Financial, statutory and management reporting in relation to expenditure and Income, Accruals and PrepaymentsProviding financial reporting and analysis to Directorate Senior Management teams, including analysis of monthly performanceTo ensure there is a better understanding of the drivers of costs and their movement over the long term - this will allow better forecasting of future costs and improved support for servicesPlay a lead role in engaging with Service colleagues on all matters of financial performanceDevelopment of Financial Performance Reporting and analysis / commentary including linkage of activity levels to Financial ReportingWork closely with senior colleagues in a number of key performance processes, including Estimates, Service planning and Budget AllocationDevelopment and utilisation of forecasting modelsManaging "business as usual" within the Finance Division on a day to day basis providing general input to Value for money reviewCommunicate effectively with all internal/external stakeholdersAny other appropriate duties as may be determined by the Financial Controller or Head of Finance from time to timeSupport budget holders in the stewardship of their financial allocationsPromote and ensure compliance with Financial Regulations, HR policies and procedures, GDPR regulations and Health & Safety regulationsIf you are interested in the above or any other finance roles, please contact Yvonne Rafter Ph: 01 6797990 or e-mail: ******
