We are currently hiring an Senior Accounts Assistant to join our Finance team on a fixed term contract at Carton House.
Key Responsibilities: Preparation of monthly accounts to trial balance.
Requirement to achieve our targeted monthly close off.
Ensuring the integrity of the general ledger and subsidiary systems.
Posting invoices, payments and receipts.
Bank reconciliations.
Preparation and posting on monthly journals.
Maintain fixed Asset Register.
Variance Analysis reporting and review.
Involvement in annual budgeting process.
Assist in supporting year end audit as required.
Preparations of returns and compliance, Intrastat, VIES.
CSO Reporting Ad hoc duties as required by the Director of Finance.
Key Requirements : Hotel accounts /bookkeeping background is essential.
Experience with Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable.
Strong IT skills in implementing and operating accounting software and front office systems.
Previous experience with Opera, Procure Wizard and Micros would be beneficial.
Full working knowledge of Microsoft excel, outlook and word.
Ability to work to tight deadlines, excellent attention to detail, have high initiative and be result focused with an ability to prioritie tasks.
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
