We are looking for a Senior Cloud Technician with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 applications to join our dynamic IT team.

Position Overview: The Senior Cloud Technician will be responsible for managing, deploying, and optimizing cloud infrastructure with a focus on Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 applications. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in cloud computing, with extensive hands-on experience in Azure environments and expert level knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications. This role requires a proactive, problem-solving mindset, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities: Azure Cloud Management: Design, implement, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure in Microsoft Azure. Monitor and maintain Azure resources, including virtual machines, storage accounts, databases, and networking. Optimize Azure environments for performance, security, and cost-efficiency. Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in cloud architecture. Microsoft 365 Administration: Manage and administer Microsoft 365 applications, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and other Office 365 services. Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for Microsoft 365-related issues. Implement and manage security policies within Microsoft 365, including data loss prevention (DLP), conditional access, and multi-factor authentication (MFA). Collaborate with end-users and stakeholders to optimize the usage of Microsoft 365 applications. Cloud Security & Compliance: Implement and maintain security best practices in Azure and Microsoft 365 environments. Conduct regular security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Work with the IT security team to address vulnerabilities and mitigate risks. Automation & Scripting: Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell, Azure CLI, and other relevant tools to streamline cloud operations. Automate routine tasks and workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention. Disaster Recovery & Backup: Design and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans for Azure and Microsoft 365 environments. Ensure regular backups and perform recovery drills to validate the effectiveness of disaster recovery strategies. Collaboration & Leadership: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, network engineers, and security experts, to deliver comprehensive cloud solutions. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior technicians and other team members. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and emerging technologies in cloud computing and Microsoft 365. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience). Experience: 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, with a focus on cloud computing. 3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 administration. Proven experience in managing and optimizing large-scale Azure environments. Extensive experience in managing Microsoft 365 applications and services. Certifications: Relevant Microsoft certifications, such as Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect, or Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, are highly desirable. Technical Skills: Expert knowledge of Microsoft Azure services, including compute, storage, networking, and security. Strong proficiency in managing Microsoft 365 applications and services. Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and other automation tools. Understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks. Familiarity with hybrid cloud environments and on-premises to cloud migrations. Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
