Grade: Manager Contract type: PermanentA snapshot of your peer group: Our Senior Cost Managers are responsible for promoting and marketing KPMG and representing KPMG at a senior level within the industry and within KPMG and manage the 'day to day' operations of their projects with their teams and support from their supervising Director together with other Directors and Senior Practice personnel.
Degree level qualified within Cost Management/Quantity Surveying Relevant experience in infrastructure, energy, data centre projectsRelevant post-contract cost management experienceChartered Quantity Surveyor (MRICS/MSCSI) desirableAppropriate IT skills for the role - MS Office/Cost X Your responsibilities and achievements will evolve as you enhance your career with us.
Here is what you can initially expect: We have an opportunity for an experienced Senior Cost Manager to join our Mission Critical Team serving clients in Ireland and across Europe.
You will initially support our team leading the cost management services for a key power sector client in Dublin, reporting to the Director.
Initially, you will mainly be servicing Data Centre, Energy and Infrastructure Projects.
Duties include: Maintain client relationships and chair certain meetings.
Ensuring deliverables are produced to high standards and issued on time.Cost planning and Cash-flow forecasting.Post-contract change management, variations, and claims.Payment & variation assessment and recommendations.Analyzes drawings and other documents and prepares detailed cost estimates.Performs or manages accurate quantity take-offs of available design documents / BIM models.Obtains accurate and up to date pricing information for databases, contractors, suppliers, etc.
to utilize in estimates.Maintains and updates data library of costs for projects.Inputs estimate take-off information for specific discipline and develops unit cost pricing.Risk identification and commentaries.Provide input into value engineering.Organises, co-ordinates and manages staff resources to complete deliverables.
Mentoring and development of skills within the team.Interface with client and related project team members.Reviews deliverables for completeness and provides overall quality assurance check prior to issuance.
Provides senior level general project management support as necessary (, financial/operational budgeting, consolidation, analysis, forecasting; business development; pricing; billing; key client/consultant relationship management).Identify opportunities to develop new business with existing clients and report such opportunities to appropriate line manager, utilising the marketing database.Other tasks as and when required.Your team: With a broad range of competency and capability, KPMG Construction Advisory provide a one-stop shop from concept to completion where clients' key objectives are successfully delivered upon.
