Sprintax, part of Clune Tech, is a web-based tax return preparation software that provides a number of tax-related services to non-residents in the United States.
We help thousands of international visitors such as students, scholars, teachers, trainees, researchers, work and travel participants, and other foreign individuals that are temporary in the United States each year with the preparation of their tax returns.

This position will ensure the delivery of high-quality operational tax services for clients with a primary focus on dividend withholding tax (DWT) recovery and tax relief-at-source processes, with a focus on customer service, DWT-related research, and operational compliance.
The individual will work closely with the current Sprintax Dividend team, including product experts in the US and Europe.
This is a hybrid position with flexibility to work from home; however, you must be able to attend the Dublin or Kilkenny office if/when requested by management.
The role:Determine and document the best practices for DWT tax recovery and upfront DWT relief procedures, where applicable, in 15 investment countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK, and US.Supervise staff who will compile, verify, and file DWT refund applications for clients (requires staff have a solid understanding of the Certificate of Tax Residence process) and then process the resulting DWT refund payments.Determine quality assurance criteria for the DWT team.Supervise staff to ensure compliance with relevant procedures and the delivery of timely, high-quality responses to client inquiries.Provide reporting to management.Liaise with taxation authorities, sub-custodians, transfer agents, and other financial institutions to determine the current practices for DWT reclaim and relief at source, which will allow Sprintax to stay abreast of operational tax developments across the globe.Represent Sprintax at industry conferences.Minimum Requirements:Requires at least five years of operational (DWT-related) tax experience at a custodian bank, broker, or other related financial institution, in a supervisory role.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Banking, Business, Finance, or Tax required.Entrepreneurial approach to working in a small team.High level of attention to detail and accuracy.Energy and enthusiasm.Effective office, time management, and organizational skills.Excellent spoken and written English (grammar, spelling, and pronunciation) and experience in presenting.Computer literacy – knowledge of Word, above average Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint required.At Sprintax, we are a community of like-minded individuals committed to excellence in everything we do.
