Senior Development Organic Chemist

Excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Development Organic Chemist to join a growing facility on a permanent basis. In this role, you will offer chemistry expertise and technical support for process development across the laboratory, and manufacturing plant at the Cork site. You will ensure project timelines are met while upholding the site's technical, quality, and safety standards.
Overview of Main Responsibilities: Support lab development projects, including route scouting, route development, proof of concept, and process robustness studies.Provide technical and laboratory support for introducing new products, from route development through scale-up and plant implementation.Propose modifications to synthetic routes to address complex chemistry issues for both laboratory and plant processes.Synthesize compounds to meet required quality standards, including the acquisition and interpretation of analytical data.Expand scientific, technical, and drug discovery knowledge by reading peer-reviewed literature, attending scientific conferences, and participating in relevant training.Communicate with clients and other teams to ensure smooth project transfer from the plant to the lab.What the ideal Senior Development Organic Chemist looks like: Masters or PhD in chemistry with a significant Organic Chemistry component.1-2 years of experience in synthetic / organic chemistry (industry or research institution preferred).Experience in leading a development project.What you will get in return: Competitive salary (depending on experience).Bonus.Pension.Medical insurance.Flexible benefits.
