Responsibilities:Managing individual contracts to deliver high-quality ecological consultancy servicesProviding expert ecological input for a range of projectsPlanning, conducting and supervising the execution of site ecological surveys and fieldworkPreparing and monitoring the implementation of Construction Environmental Management PlansUndertaking Appropriate Assessments and Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIAs), Biodiversity Chapters for Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (EIARs) and other environmental reporting requirementsWriting of technical reports and other deliverablesManaging quality including attention to detail and accuracy, delivery of contracts on time and to the highest possible standards, and continue to strive to improve the quality of work produced by the Ecology teamProviding expert witness at Oral HearingsDeveloping excellent relationships with clients and attending meetings with client and design teams when necessarySkills/Qualifications:A degree in ecology or related subjectA minimum of seven years post graduate experience in environmental consultancyMember of CIEEM, CIWEM or equivalent professional bodyExperienced in the oral hearing process and in the role of expert witnessDetailed knowledge of wildlife and conservation legislation within IrelandExcellent technical report writing skillsExperienced in the preparation and monitoring of the implementation of Construction Environmental Management PlanExperienced in working in multi-disciplinary teamsExcellent communication, organisational and project management skillsA full clean driver's licenceBenefits:Attractive remunerationShort FridaysMedical allowancePension scheme22 to 27 annual leave daysProfessional body supportAnd much moreApplications are treated in confidence.
