Company: Mercer Description: Mercer is seeking candidates for an exciting opportunity in our Mercer Marsh Benefits Consulting area. The successful candidate will join an existing team of group risk and medical consultants in delivering consulting and broking solutions to some of Ireland's most prominent and well known employers. Specific experience with medical or group risk benefits, or preferably both, is highly desirable, as is consulting experience. The role will offer the opportunity to work on some of our key corporate clients (both domestic and multinational) and with the Irish medical and group risk insurers. This role is likely to be suitable for somebody who may want the flexibility of working 3/4 days per week (or other flexible arrangements which will be considered). What can you expect: The Mercer Marsh Benefits (MMB) Consulting Team operates across our Dublin and Cork offices (with work from home permitted up to 2 days per week). We deliver health and group risk consulting along with technology solutions that address the health and wellness needs of our clients and their employees. The MMB team is currently made up of 14 consultants and analysts, delivering solutions to a portfolio of Irish and international clients. The role involves assisting clients in putting in place, monitoring and reviewing employee medical and group risk arrangements, along with providing ad hoc consulting. This role within the team is intended for a candidate with consulting experience and the qualifications and experience required to consult with clients on medical and group risk benefits from Day 1. You will need to understand our clients needs and develop solutions, efficiently and in line with all regulatory and compliance requirements. Mercer is open to applications from candidates interested in performing this role on a part-time basis where they have the qualifications and experience in one or both of medical benefit or group risk benefit consulting. Prepare client presentations and reports that will be presented to senior compensation and benefit stakeholders, senior-level executives, and/or management. Assist in the provision of ad hoc group risk and healthcare consulting advice to clients and Mercer colleagues Deliver new business Manage relationships with clients Act in a mentor role towards junior team members to assist in their knowledge and development Deliver and maintain professional and ethical standards of service to all business partners. Work to agreed Service Level Agreements at all times Maintain and cultivate relationships with health insurers to achieve best client service and innovative solutions for clients What you will need to have: Consulting experience Full QFA and APA (Personal General Insurance) qualification, or equivalent enabling compliant consulting on group risk and medical benefits Knowledge of corporate client employee benefits design Demonstrated success in employee benefits environment Strong commercial awareness and understanding of the Irish employee benefit landscape Excellent analytical skills, including the use of Microsoft Excel for statistical analysis. Ability to guide project teams and collaborate with others to deliver to clients Ability to build strong customer relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions.
