Key ResponsibilitiesSupport and maintain 24x7 operation of the NMS for the ESB Networks and the National Distribution Control Centre.Provide support to ensure the smooth roll out and reliable operation of the NMS.Maintain and keep the network model up-to-date with daily quality audits and issue resolution.Support system maintenance activities including product upgrades, security patch upgrades and site switch activities.Develop HV standard configuration for generation and demand customers on the NMS and the associated operational map.Develop a standardised approach with the NDCC in the utilisation of the NMS identifying improvements with the operational map.Monitor and support the different interfaces to seamlessly integrate with NMS system and handle issue resolution.Maintain existing reporting and dashboards and develop new reports and dashboards required by business users.Support the business during critical service interruptions and major weather events.Development and implementation of the NMS to meet ESB Networks' overall strategy for the safe management and operation of the distribution system.Ensure compliance with industry and legislative regulations, standards, and safety protocols.Support other parts of the business and work closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements and system issues.Stakeholder management with internal business units, third parties, and system vendors. Work with the NMS Vendor to keep the system up-to-date and ensure quality end-to-end service to our customers, including addressing any critical incidents and defect resolution.Develop and deliver training programmes for system users ensuring effective use of the NMS.Develop and maintain NMS training documents, job aids, and support documents.Develop functional specifications, procedures and process for the operation of the NMS.Contribute to ESB Networks strategy in the deployment of technologies for enhancing quality of service to customers.System risk management progression across the NMS, fault, and operational incident investigation.Provide operational knowledge and guidance of NMS to the wider DMSO team.Supervise and mentor junior team members, fostering collaboration and skill development.Essential Knowledge, Skills and ExperienceProven ability to deliver on the "key responsibilities" outlined above.Proven knowledge and experience working in different components of NMS systems including OMS, DMS, network operations and model management.Understanding of mission-critical OT systems.A strong work ethic with a clear focus on delivery to ESB Networks safety, time, quality and cost objectives.The demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.Self-starter with ability to manage own work and support others within project team.The ability to technically mentor junior team members.A flexible approach to work, especially where necessary to deliver excellent customer service.Strong interpersonal skills.Excellent communication and report writing skills.Desirable Knowledge, Skills and ExperienceKnowledge of OT infrastructure and network architecture.Familiarity with Unix, Linux or similar Operating Systems.Experience of Oracle Network Management System is preferred.Reporting toNMS Manager
