Senior Estimator

We are currently recruiting a Senior Estimator to join a leading building contractor based in the West of Ireland.
This company is a top choice for major projects, known for its high standards and commitment to delivering high-quality construction solutions.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in the bidding process for high-profile projects and will be responsible for providing accurate cost estimates and pricing strategies for a variety of complex building projects.
Key Responsibilities * Prepare detailed and competitive cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring all components are accurately accounted for.
* Analise project specifications, drawings, and other documents to gain a comprehensive understanding of project requirements.
* Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and comprehensive pricing of materials, labour, and equipment.
* Conduct thorough take-offs and assessments of project scope, identifying potential cost-saving opportunities.
* Lead and manage the tender submission process, including coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers for pricing.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, materials, and pricing trends.
* Prepare and present estimates to senior management and clients, providing insights and justifications for cost projections.
Requirements * Experience: Minimum of 4 years in a senior estimating role with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor.
* Education: Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
* Technical Skills: Proficiency in estimating software and MS Office; strong analytical and mathematical skills.
* Knowledge: Strong understanding of Irish building codes, industry standards, and procurement processes.
* Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
* Flexibility: Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
Benefits * Competitive Salary: Up to €90,000, depending on experience.
