Benchmark has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant in Dublin City.
In this role, you will report directly to the Financial Controller (FC) and be a key player in the finance department.

You will be responsible for overseeing critical financial functions, including audit support, general ledger management, and financial reporting.

The Role: Supervise and manage general accounting functions, including but not limited to accounts payable, fixed assets, intangible assets, intercompany transactions, funding, loans, and general ledger activities.
Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
Lead the semi-annual internal audits and manage year-end financial audit activities at both the Group and Statutory levels.
Prepare, review, and analyse financial statements to ensure they are accurate and complete.
Supervise and mentor accounting team members, supporting their professional development and performance.
Assist with regulatory filings and ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations.
Maintain relationships with external service providers and work closely with external auditors to ensure accurate and timely year-end closing and reporting.
Provide support to the Financial Controller in various financial and operational aspects.
Requirements Qualified Accountant ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA.
A minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with some in a supervisory capacity.
Experience in a complex accounting function with strict reporting deadlines is essential.
Thorough understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Strong leadership capabilities with a focus on driving and achieving results.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems, such as Oracle or NetSuite.
