Senior Financial Accountant

An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Financial Accountant within our Finance team in Ireland. The successful candidate will report directly to the Financial Controller and will assist in Treasury and Cash management for the Irish entities, project support, preparing monthly and quarterly group reporting, ensuring other financial controls are operating efficiently along with managing the quarter end close for local and group reporting within the timeframes allowed. ResponsibilitiesOversee cash management in Irish deals ensuring efficient liquidity management and preparation of monthly reports.Participate in month-end and quarter-end ledger closing processes for local and Group reporting within agreed timeframes, including the reconciliation of relevant balance sheet accounts.Project work including supporting management in integration of new deals.Assist with Solvency II process and support the preparation of notes to the financial statements.Assist management with smooth running of internal and external audits and ensuring that there are no issues in relation to audit sign-off.Ensuring financial controls and risk reporting are operating efficiently with all reconciliations completed within agreed timeframes.Participate in other ad hoc duties including supporting junior members of the team.Role RequirementsMinimum 2 years relevant experience in a similar role desirable.Recognised accounting qualification.Experience in the Financial Services industry (preferably life assurance).Preparation or audit of Financial Statements experience.Be efficient, with excellent attention to detail and ability to work to strict deadlines.Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics accounts would be an advantage.
