SENIOR FINANCIAL CONTROLLER My client, a software intelligence organisation with a global diverse workforce, seeks to hire a new Senior Financial Controller to join their team in Galway City. You will be a fully qualified accountant with a minimum of 2 years PQE in industry. This will suit someone who can work 5 days onsite in Galway City Centre, until technical competence is gained, after which hybrid working is allowed. Joining a team of 4, reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for daily finance function duties, such as management accounts, financial statements, financial analysis, month end close, payroll support, audits, process improvements, annual budgets, project support and lots more! Someone who can adapt to a fast-paced, start-up-like culture, with great interpersonal skills, who can get involved at all levels of the business, translating finance to non-finance staff will thrive in this environment.
RESPONSIBILITIESManagement of the day-to-day finance function in accordance with GAAP.Analysing and preparing monthly management accounts, weekly cashflows, statutory financial statements, running the accounts payable & receivable functions.Financial analysis to support business decisions.Assisting CFO in monthly close.Running monthly payroll activities.Preparing documents for internal and external audits.Assisting with the preparation of regulatory reports in compliance with regulations and instructions.Assisting with annual budget.Ad-hoc projects will be ongoing.REQUIREMENTSA qualified accountant with 2+ years of PQE.Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.Strong knowledge of transfer pricing rules - Desired.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to analyse and solve problems.Ability to interact with colleagues at all levels throughout the company.Ability to perform highly detailed work on multiple, concurrent tasks.Ability to work under pressure and intensive deadlines.Ability to prioritize work under pressure.Ability to work in a self-directed manner.Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills.Cloud computing and knowledge of the latest technology to run a finance team would be advantageous.For more information, please contact ****** for a discreet conversation.
