About Your New Company Your new company is a leading main contractor with a strong presence in the life sciences and technology sectors. They are committed to maintaining the highest standards of health and safety across all our projects. They are currently seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join our team in Kildare to contribute to our mission of safety excellence.
About Your New Job The Health & Safety Advisor will work alongside the BU HSE Manager to ensure the successful implementation of our health and safety strategy and practices across all project sites. This position requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of health and safety protocols, and the ability to provide coaching and guidance to teams at all levels.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide proactive leadership in health and safety standards and expectations.Assist the BU HSE Manager in enforcing company strategy through SOPs and guidance.Conduct comprehensive and thorough safety inspections at all workplaces.Perform risk assessments and follow up on accident/incident investigations.Act as the investigation lead in the absence of the Project Director.Liaise with regulatory authorities on site visits and incidents.Adapt health and safety management systems to meet client-specific requirements.Communicate effectively with line managers regarding any gaps in safety ownership.Support pre-qualification submissions, providing insights on health and safety concerns.Attend and participate in project Start Up meetings, Client and supply chain meetings as needed.Provide coaching and training to staff on health and safety standards and management system use.Encourage innovative solutions for improved safety performance.Stay updated on environmental principles and provide relevant guidance to teams.What Skills You Need Minimum of 10 years of experience in the construction industry, ideally in the pharmaceutical sector.At least 10 years as a dedicated Health and Safety professional.Strong investigation skills with a focus on root cause analysis.Proven ability to lead health and safety improvement initiatives.Effective communication and time management skills.NEBOSH Construction Diploma or equivalent.NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent (preferred).NVQ Level 4 / EFQ L5 in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent.Internal Auditor certification.What on Offer: Competitive salary €70k+ DOE26+ days of annual leaveComprehensive benefits packageOpportunities for professional development and growthWhat's Next Please hit the submit button, or feel free to reach out to Josh Grant, ****** for more information on the role.
