The company, a tier 1 main contractor with over €450 million in revenue last year, is advertising a job role for a senior H&S advisor in the Longford area. They prioritize health and safety in the workplace and seek an experienced professional to enhance their team.
Day-to-day responsibilities: Manage emergency procedures and respond to health and safety-related complaints or issues; maintain a focus on health and safety within the business.Stay updated with new legislation and maintain a working knowledge of all Health and Safety Executive (HSE) legislation and developments affecting the employer's industry.Lead in-house training with managers and employees on health and safety issues and risks.Outline safe operational procedures, identifying relevant hazards and communicating them to all employees.Keep records of inspection findings and produce reports suggesting improvements.Maintain records of incidents and accidents, providing statistics for managers.Deliver Toolbox Talks and liaise with HSE, Fire Officers, and Environmental Health Officers.Conduct regular site inspections to ensure policies and procedures are properly implemented and adhered to.Skills and qualifications: Recognized EHS Degree or Diploma (NEBOSH diploma or equivalent qualification preferred).3+ years in a similar role.Ability to work well as a team and collaborate with others.This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to advance their career in health and safety, with great career progression opportunities.
