The Opportunity
We now seeking a Senior Lead Programme Analyst to join our Interconnection team.
The Senior Lead Programme Analyst is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the key programmes managed by the Interconnection Finance team, ensuring effective financial planning, management, andreporting. This role involves strategic financial analysis, resource tracking and reporting, and risk management. Successful applicants will demonstrate an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly collaborative work environment.
This role operates within a fast paced, busy environment. The role holder ensures timely and accurate financial information is produced in order for the EirGrid Group to meet established goals and objectives while ensuring statutory requirements are adhered to.
The Team
The Operations & Asset Management Directorate within EirGrid comprises highly skilled professionals with backgrounds in engineering and business/commerce. Ireland has a target to achieve 80% of our electricity to come from renewable resources by 2030 and to be net carbon neutral by 2050. The Operations & Asset Management Directorate is central to the delivery of our primary role – the operation, development and enhancement of the all-island power system and the wholesale electricity market. Creating a culture of continuous improvement whilst maintaining operational resilience, that drives technical and process innovation is central to delivering on this role.
The Interconnection function is responsible for the operational activities associated with managing the 500 MW High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) East West interconnector (EWIC) to Wales on a 24 x 7 basis and the readiness activities associated with the proposed 700 MW Celtic Interconnector MW HVDC link between Ireland and France. This includes leading the delivery of transformational change in cross border markets, operational development and asset management, as well as identifying and supporting future Interconnector opportunities for the benefit of consumers. It also has responsibility for the ongoing reporting on financial information to fulfil regulatory and statutory requirements.
About you
Successful candidates will have the following:Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Science or a related field. 5+ years of experience in a fast-paced finance management or operational role, preferably within the energy or infrastructure sectors. Demonstrated organisational skills and the ability to operate on own initiative.Demonstrated experience of leading work. Proven ability to work well under pressure and to strict deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to organise and work with large volumes of data. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent working knowledge of Excel, Dynamics AX or similar financial packages. Strong understanding of financial contracts. Job Relationships
