Senior Manager Cost Accounting - Healthcare. Our Finance Team is looking for the right teammate to support the start-up of our new site in Athenry. As a Senior Cost Accounting Manager, you will collaborate closely with all departments to support business objectives and drive financial performance. The successful candidate will be responsible for the site's adherence to Dexcom's Costing & Inventory accounting standards, analysing costs and evaluating financial data to support management in making informed decisions. The role will also involve budgeting, forecasting, and cost control ensuring the site operates efficiently and profitably.
Where you come in: You will support risk management and compliance efforts, ensuring adherence to financial regulations and policies (SOX, GAAP).You will lead the Standard Costing budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.You will prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to cost accounting, including Standard Costing variance analysis.You will ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial metrics and KPIs.You will partner with business units to evaluate potential investments, projects, and operational changes.You will conduct cost analysis to identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.You will identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of financial reporting and analysis.You will mentor and develop accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.You will oversee the work of the management accounting team, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.You will assume and perform other duties as assigned.What makes you successful: Typically requires a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; an accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) is required.You have a minimum of 10 years of experience in management accounting within a manufacturing environment.You have strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting processes.You are proficient in financial modelling and data analysis; experience with financial software and ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, etc.).You have excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.You have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.You have a proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.What you'll get: A front row seat to life changing CGM technology.A full and comprehensive benefits program.Growth opportunities on a global scale.Access to career development through in-house learning programs and/or qualified tuition reimbursement.An exciting and innovative, industry-leading organization committed to our employees, customers, and the communities we serve.Travel Required: 10%Experience and Education Requirements: Typically requires a Bachelor's degree with 13+ years of industry experience.5-8 years of previous people management experience.
