The Senior Project Manager in Process Sciences manages timelines, leads projects, monitors department operations, develops a company-wide and external network and leverages relationships to enable department objectives.
A typical day might include, but is not limited to, the following: Leading cross functional teams and managing the deliverables for the assigned projects, which may vary widely but are generally focused on technical activities and department operations Driving projects to completion on time and within regulatory guidelines Developing and maintaining a technical understanding of all departmental operations and working with department management at all levels Using expertise to make recommendations, lead management to the best decision possible, and persuade the business Developing a company-wide and external network to leverage relationships that enable department objectives Developing tools and mechanisms for monitoring department operations (e.g., training, compliance) and project status and proactively working to anticipate and prevent problems Identifying opportunities to streamline activities and improve performance within the broader business Proactively identifying emerging project or operational issues and providing guidance or assistance to resolve as needed Developing structured processes to address recurring problems or conflicts, overseeing implementation and ensuring continued operation of said processes Providing oversight, organization, and accountability for critical tasks Providing administrative and organizational services for high-priority or emergency events as they arise; scheduling meetings, taking meeting notes, communicating findings/action items/plans and ensuring that actions are performed This role might be for you if: You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and you have the ability to balance multiple projects, prioritize them and execute them thoughtfully and independently You are detail oriented, quality driven and well organized You can take on new and ambiguous challenges, learning quickly You enjoy working in a team environment but can also take ownership of multi-faceted technical projects To be considered for this opportunity you should have a BA/BS in science, engineering or a related field and 12 years of relevant experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries or equivalent combination of education and experience.
