Senior Psychologist Full time, 2year contract (Contractors Role) Oncology Services Mercy University Hospital (MUH) MUH are a growing voluntary hospital in the heart of Cork City. We have over 1,500 staff providing complex diagnostic, medical and surgical care through our inpatient, day patient, outpatient and emergency services. We are a teaching hospital, a centre of national and international excellence, and are renowned for our research and tertiary services. Senior Psychologist Role To deliver a Psycho-oncology Service to adults attending MUH, Cork. This includes psychological assessment, formulation and treatment of patients on an individual and group basis, multi-disciplinary working, consultancy, liaison, research and teaching. These duties are to be carried out within professional ethics and hospital policies. Overview of Responsibilities: Work with the team to deliver a comprehensive psycho-oncology service. Ensure the systematic provision of a high-quality clinical assessment and treatment service to reduce psychological suffering and promote psychological health and well-being of individuals within the oncology service. Offer psychological assessment, formulation, monitoring, design and implementation of therapeutic interventions for patients with cancer. Eligibility Criteria: Eligibility is split into the following categories: Category A. Employed pre October 2002. Category B. Employed between October 2002 to 31st January 2021. Category C. Employed 31st January 2021 to the 30th September 2024. Category A/2024 Qualified pre 01.10.2024 and employed post 01.10.2024. Category B/2024 Qualified post 01.10.2024.
