ST. MICHAEL'S HOUSE 1 WTE Senior Grade Psychologist Coolock Children's Disability Network Team 12 month contract This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Psychologist to support children and their families, presenting with complex needs arising from a combination of intellectual, physical, and/or sensory disabilities.
The Senior Psychologist is a valuable member of the Children's Disability Network Team who will provide a quality evidence based service in line with family centred practice and Progressing Disability Services (PDS) principles.
Candidates must have the following essential requirements: A University Degree or Diploma with first or second class honors in which Psychology was taken as major subject and honors obtained in that subject. A recognised post-graduate professional qualification in Clinical, Educational or Counselling psychology that meets the requirements of the Psychological Society of Ireland and is validated by the Department of Health and Children. Applicants with qualifications obtained outside of Ireland must provide a certificate of validation of their qualification from the Department of Health.
A minimum of 2 years post qualification experience in a disability service. Excellent ability to work with complex presentations as part of an interdisciplinary team. Desirable: Previous experience of conducting complex interdisciplinary diagnostic assessments. Previous experience of developing and facilitating training and intervention programmes. Experience in leading team initiatives. Keen interest in research. Full clean driving licence and the use of a car.
