Senior Quantity Surveyor | Consultancy | Dublin Excellent package and career progression opportunities Large interesting projects across multiple sectors Permanent position based in Dublin area Oradeo Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced professionally qualified (SCSI / RICS) Senior Quantity Surveyor to work for a large PQS Company to be based in Dublin. The right candidate will have previous experience in project co-ordination.

The successful candidate will be required to have experience of the full range of quantity surveying services and be confident in dealing with clients face-to-face. They should also be capable of managing design teams from conception through the entire design and procurement process and go on to manage and chair site meetings through to project delivery on a wide range of prestigious projects.

This position is an excellent opportunity for a suitable individual and offers significant prospects to advance to Associate and Director level for the right candidate in a relatively short time-frame. Quantity Surveyor Responsibilities: Liaising with clients from initial enquiries through to final accounts. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be involved in the preparation of commercial plans along with cost control / management of projects. Preparing measures and works packages for procurement and valuation purposes. Actively work with Project Managers relating to contract variations. Negotiating and purchasing of Sub-Contracts, subsequent account management and final agreement. Final Account negotiations etc. Dealing with clients/engineers/contractors. Closely monitor and process project variations. Prepare reports including cost reports and cash flow forecasts. Issuing tender queries and preparation of tender reports. Preparing progress applications and cost reports. Attend Client meetings. Identify, assess and manage commercial/contractual risks. Ensure contract documents and their revisions are effectively managed. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will ensure effective records are kept of the works as they progress along with monitoring project costs against budgets, identifying problems/opportunities and recommending /implementing change where necessary. Necessary Requirements: 3rd level Qualification in Quantity Surveying / Construction economics. 10+ years' relevant Consultancy experience with a recognised PQS Company. A proven track record of quantity surveying. Strong operational skills and an attention to detail. Have gained good experience working on building projects in Ireland or the UK. Ideally, you will possess experience working on projects €10-€20+ million respectively within the mixed-use, commercial, industrial, residential, healthcare or hospitality sectors. Good presentation skills. Strong written communication abilities are also essential.
