Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are hiring an experienced and proactive Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established and dynamic construction company in Dublin. This role offers an opportunity to lead financial and cost management aspects on high-profile projects across various sectors, including commercial, residential, and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities: Project Cost Management: Oversee all financial aspects of assigned projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and managing project expenditures. Procurement and Contract Administration: Manage the procurement process, evaluate bids, and negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers. Oversee contract administration, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and conditions. Valuations and Payments: Prepare, submit, and monitor interim valuations and final accounts. Manage payment applications and variations to ensure timely and accurate financial control. Risk Management: Identify and assess risks, propose mitigation strategies, and manage contingency plans to protect project budgets and timelines. Client and Stakeholder Relations: Work closely with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders, providing detailed cost reports and maintaining strong professional relationships. Team Leadership and Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior surveyors, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented team environment. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related field. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably within the construction industry, with a solid track record on commercial or residential projects. Strong knowledge of procurement, contract administration, and Irish construction law and regulations. Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in quantity surveying software and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. What We Offer: Competitive salary and benefits package.
