Introduction We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with an M&E Background to join a highly regarded Tier 1 Main Building Contractor, renowned for delivering landmark projects across Ireland.
Based in Dublin, this position offers an opportunity to work on large-scale commercial and infrastructure projects with a well-established and dynamic team.
This role is ideal for a commercially driven professional looking to advance their career and play a pivotal role in the financial management of major construction projects.
Responsibilities Overseeing cost management and budgeting throughout all phases of project delivery.
Managing all aspects of contract administration, from tender analysis through to the preparation of final accounts.
Identifying, assessing, and pricing variations and claims, ensuring the accurate documentation of project changes.
Leading the procurement process, evaluating subcontractor bids, and negotiating contract terms.
Preparing regular financial and progress reports for senior management and project stakeholders.
Mentoring junior quantity surveyors and supporting their professional development.
Working closely with project teams to drive cost-efficiency and support successful project delivery.
Requirements A degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics.
Minimum of 7 years' experience in quantity surveying, with a strong background in large-scale commercial or infrastructure projects.
In-depth knowledge of standard forms of contract, including NEC, RIAI, and FIDIC.
Strong commercial awareness and a proven track record in cost control and financial forecasting.
Proficiency with cost management software such as CostX, CATO, or similar.
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to travel to sites in the Dublin area as needed.
Package Salary: €80,000 - €95,000, depending on experience.
