Position: Senior SharePoint Developer Contract Duration: 12 Months (with scope to extend) Location: Dublin 1 Hybrid Work Pattern 50/50, generally 2 days per week required onsite. Overview: Our client is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior SharePoint Developer to join our team on a 12-month contract, with the possibility of extension. This role involves working closely with our migration team to support the design, development, and successful migration of our SharePoint estate. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in SharePoint development, design, and architecture, and will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless transition of content within the organisation. Key Responsibilities: SharePoint Development: Lead and conduct SharePoint development activities to support the migration team, including the prioritization and allocation of developer tasks. Project Tracking & Reporting: Monitor and track developer progress, assess content, and assist in planning team activities to ensure timely delivery. Architecture Design: Collaborate with the SharePoint Architect and Business Analyst to scope and assist with the target architecture design for the SharePoint estate. Delivery Planning: Work closely with the project team to establish a robust delivery plan for the migration of content, ensuring all dependencies and potential risks are identified and managed. Best Practices & Guidance: Provide expert advice to the migration team on SharePoint best practices, ensuring high-quality and efficient delivery of solutions. Stakeholder Liaison: Liaise with key business and I.T. stakeholders, including Business Analysts, SharePoint Architects, and Quality Assurance, to ensure alignment with project goals. Technical Knowledge Acquisition: Gain in-depth technical knowledge of the organisations SharePoint estate to effectively support and guide the migration process. Dependency Management: Identify, monitor, and manage project dependencies that may impact the SharePoint migration process. Key Deliverables: Successful execution of SharePoint development tasks in line with the migration team's objectives. Effective collaboration with architecture and business analysis teams to design and implement the target SharePoint architecture. Comprehensive delivery plan for the migration of content that addresses all dependencies and risks. Guidance and mentorship to the migration team on SharePoint best practices. Effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders to ensure project alignment and success. Required Experience and Competencies: SharePoint Expertise: Minimum of 7+ years of experience as a SharePoint Developer, with at least 3+ years in SharePoint Design & Architecture. SharePoint Versions: In-depth knowledge and experience with SharePoint 2016, 2019, SE, and Online. Development Skills: Strong SharePoint development experience, including proficiency with SharePoint Client Object Model in .NET code. Tools & Workflows: Experience with SharePoint-related tools such as Metalogix, ShareGate, and workflow tools like Nintex. Scripting & SQL: Proficiency in scripting for SharePoint using PowerShell, and familiarity with MS SQL technologies (SQL, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS) is desirable.
