About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Site Engineer for a major design and build project in Cork.
The project involves extensive earthworks, complex reinforced concrete (RC) structures, and a substantial steel portal frame building with associated cladding.
This is a unique opportunity for a talented engineer to drive the technical success of a project with demanding logistical and engineering challenges.
Key Project Details: Earthworks: Approx.
30,000 cubic meters of detailed excavation works and roads.Concrete Works: Approx.
10,000 cubic meters of in-situ RC, including foundations, retaining walls, and reinforced concrete frames.Steel Structures: Large-scale steel portal frame construction, including intricate cladding work, roller doors etc.Responsibilities: Project Planning & Management: Assist with project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet milestones and deadlines.Technical Oversight: Provide oversight of all engineering activities, ensuring high standards in adherence to design & specification especially for earthworks, RC structures, and eventual steel frame erection.Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with design teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to optimise workflows and ensure seamless integration across all stages of construction.Quality Control & Assurance: Ensure quality control procedures are implemented across all areas, adhering to specifications, industry standards and regulations.Site Supervision & Inspections: Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, verify measurements, and ensure adherence to programme.Health & Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental protocols, taking a proactive approach to risk management.Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, preparing progress reports, technical assessments, and project forecasts as required.About You
Skills & Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years in civil engineering, with a proven track record in large-scale infrastructure or design-build projects.
