Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.5 years of experience with software development in C, C++, Java, or Python, and with data structures/algorithms.3 years of experience with developing infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.Experience in one or more of the following: test automation, refactoring code, test-driven development, build infrastructure, optimizing software, debugging, building tools and testing frameworks.Preferred Qualifications:Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.Experience in network programming or developing/designing software systems.About the Job:Google Cloud's software engineers develop the next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. Responsibilities:Write and test product or system development code.Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide on available technologies.Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.Design and model the planet-scale networks powering Google's services and those of Google Cloud customers.Google is proud to be an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
