Shift Manager, Portarlington

Our client is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Shift Manager to join their team in Portarlington.
Reporting directly to the Hub Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all warehouse resources and coordinating shift activities to ensure the highest standards of operation.
Key Responsibilities: Manage warehouse resources to ensure optimal availability and effective running of the warehouse.
Coordinate all shift activities (days, evenings, nights) in line with targets and KPIs for effective cost control.
Identify training and development needs of staff to meet business objectives.
Utilise resources to maximise efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity.
Lead the warehouse team to deliver best-in-class service to customers, aligning with business objectives.
Ensure adherence and compliance with operational processes.
Promote effective communication within operational teams and engage employees in line with company values.
Maintain a working environment compliant with Health & Safety and Quality Assurance legislation.
Ensure excellent service and quality levels for customers.
Manage and lead the team to ensure they have the skills, resources, and support needed to achieve objectives and operate consistently with the organisation's values.
Implement and maintain quality management systems and processes in daily operations.
Monitor operational systems to ensure warehouse process integrity.
Required Experience: Commercially acceptable level of English (spoken and written).
Proficient with computers (Excel, Email, Reporting platforms, CRM systems).
Previous managerial experience (3 years+).
Excellent timekeeping.
Safety awareness.
Knowledge of Irish geography and specifically depot coverage areas.
Problem-solving and people management experience.
Previous logistics experience is a distinct advantage.
