The GAA Museum offers tours of Croke Park as well as Kellogg's Skyline tours which take place on a specially-constructed walkway on the stadium roof.
Recently named a Great Place to Work, the GAA Museum now seeks to recruit part-time Skyline and Stadium Tour Guides to join the team. The role holders will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service and leading tours.
Key responsibilities include: Leading a variety of groups on Kellogg's Skyline and Croke Park Stadium Tours. Groups will include general public tours, school groups, active retirement groups, language schools, corporate groups, and visitors with additional needs.Tailoring tour content to match the needs of individual groups.Conducting all tours with fun and enthusiasm and providing visitors with a first-class, memorable experience.Front of house duties including group check-ins, ticket and merchandise sales, re-stocking the gift shop, and handling cash.Answering general customer queries and assisting at special events.Undertaking research regarding stadium tour commentary and keeping up to date with developments in the GAA & Croke Park.An in-depth knowledge and interest in Gaelic Games.A passion for history.A passion for storytelling.An interest in Dublin city and what it has to offer including its history and visitor attractions.Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions, in a physically demanding job.Willingness to work at height on the Skyline rooftop walkway.A capable individual who is confident leading large and diverse groups of visitors.Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven commitment to customer service.Candidates must be flexible regarding their working hours and will need to be available to work weekdays and weekends as required. Tour guide roles can be designed to work around college hours or other commitments with notice. Working hours generally fall between 9 am and 5 pm with occasional evening work required.Fluency in Irish and/or French would be a distinct advantage.Previous experience working in a visitor attraction/museum/retail setting.Experience of leading and supervising large groups.Experience working in a busy customer-facing role.Please note the post is subject to Garda Vetting.
Salary: €14 per hour.
