Job TitleZurich Dublin Technology Center is looking for a Senior Network Engineer (Cloud and Automation).
Your RoleAs a Senior Network Engineer (Cloud and Automation) your main responsibilities will include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following:
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define requirements and design specifications for both traditional network and multi-cloud connectivity solution for both business and network projects.Review internal and external supplier proposals and quotations and perform the technical validation of supplier solutions to ensure that they are in line with company technology standards.Actively seek opportunities for functional and process improvement via automation and adoption of cloud native connectivity solutions.Investigate and support troubleshooting efforts on internal and Cloud network technical issues.Support governance and improvements in capacity, demand, release and lifecycle, change and incident management activity from Network perspective.Provide guidance and recommendations on cloud and automation solution to the Network team.Document network environments, develop and deploy network policy documents.Your Skills and ExperienceAs a Senior Network Engineer (Cloud and Automation) your skills and qualifications will include:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.5+ years of experience in network engineering role.Excellent understanding of TCP/IP networking, IP routing and core technologies such as TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, ACLs, IPSEC, DNS, etc.Knowledge in WAN/LAN Network Architecture and Operations including Firewalls, Routers, Switches.Working knowledge of multi-cloud network (AWS and Azure ideally) and connectivity deployments, including TransitGW and VirtualWan, native firewall and Security groups technologies.Scripting and API utilisation experience (preferably Python, XSOAR, ServiceNow).Experience in developing and implementing enterprise-grade network infrastructure that is efficient, scalable, resilient and secure in its design.Experience of apps to cloud migrations and support of a hybrid environment of on-prem and Cloud infrastructure.Experience in complex troubleshooting connectivity issues in both cloud and traditional network environments.Experience working within a geographically distributed IT team spread across multiple time zones.Additional InformationPrimary work location is Trident House, Blackrock. Position is Dublin-based but occasional travel may be required to other Zurich locations.
