Role Overview The Technical Sale Specialist & Project Lead role combines both technical sales and project management, acting as the bridge between clients, the software development team, and the business stakeholders.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the sales process, providing technical expertise, and overseeing the delivery of solutions in alignment with customer needs and project goals.
Key Responsibilities Technical Sales: Develop and manage relationships with prospective and existing clients in the food and dairy manufacturing sectors across Ireland, Europe, and the United States.
Identify and qualify new business opportunities, focusing on key decision-makers in target companies.
Present and demonstrate the companys software solutions, tailored to meet the specific needs of food and dairy manufacturers.
Work closely with clients to understand their pain points, and provide tailored software solutions and services.
Generate proposals, quotes, and presentations for clients, ensuring alignment with their business objectives.
Lead and manage the sales process from initial lead generation through to successful closure.
Conduct technical assessments and feasibility analysis for potential clients.
Track and report on sales activities, opportunities, and forecasts.
Project Lead: Lead client projects from initiation through to delivery, ensuring that all milestones and deadlines are met.
Liaise with clients to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with their needs.
Collaborate with the software development and test teams to define project requirements and ensure successful project execution.
Monitor project progress and provide updates to internal and external stakeholders.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during the implementation phase.
Conduct quality assurance to ensure that software solutions meet the agreed specifications and standards.
Ensure that the project stays within scope, timeline, and budget.
General Responsibilities: Act as the main point of contact for customers for both sales and project-related queries.
Provide technical feedback and insights to the product development and test teams to enhance software offerings.
Collaborate closely with internal departments (sales & marketing, software development, software test and customer care) to ensure the seamless delivery of services.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the food and dairy manufacturing industry trends, regulations, and software solutions.
Ensure that clients are satisfied with services delivered and seek opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional solutions.
Key Attributes Strong knowledge of dairy and food industry processes and challenges.
Proven experience in sales, business development, and managing technical projects, ideally within the software or technology sector, ability to generate sales leads, manage the sales cycle, and close deals.
Solid project management skills, with experience in leading software implementation projects.
Ability to analyse and solve complex technical problems while maintaining a customer-focused approach.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas in an accessible manner.
