About the Role As a Specification Manager, you will collaborate with architects, developers, contractors, and other project stakeholders to provide in-depth product, commercial, and technical support, securing the specification of Tate's Data Centre solutions.
This role is pivotal in supporting the wider commercial team on active projects to secure a Tate specification.
Key Responsibilities Drive business development and lead generation activities to foster relationships and secure Tate specifications.
Develop and deliver CPD content for architect practices, emphasizing product features and sustainability strengths.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships within the architect and design engineer community.
Stay informed on market developments and proactively engage with key industry stakeholders.
Review and support specifications for key supply partners, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
Evaluate construction specifications and provide product recommendations tailored to each project.
Manage the CRM system, ensuring all enquiries are logged, tracked, and progressed accurately and efficiently.
Prepare weekly activity reports to communicate progress toward annual targets and goals.
Support Sales Managers with project handovers to ensure seamless client transitions.
Provide competitor insights and analysis to inform wider business strategies.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills Education: Bachelor's degree in architecture, Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred.
Experience: Solid and stable professional experience (circa 5 years +) in a business development, specification, or marketing role within the B2B building/construction industry.
Skills Strong ability to build and maintain client relationships with key stakeholders Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with confidence to interact at all levels.
High proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software.
Effective time management and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
Deep understanding of sustainability challenges and trends in the construction market.
Ability to adapt technical information for diverse audiences effectively.
