The Human Resources Learning & Development team is actively seeking the right teammate to support the stand up of our learning & development function in EMEA, as the Senior Manager Learning & Development. The role will be site-based at our new facility in Athenry, Ireland. Our mission is to inspire and empower Dexcom employees to achieve their fullest potential by providing comprehensive and innovative development programs, tools, and resources while fostering a culture of continuous growth and performance excellence.
As the Senior Manager Learning & Development, you will lead a learning & development team to promote a high-tech hands-on approach to developing our employees. This role has overall responsibility for directing the activities of employee learning & development across the business to meet company objectives.
Where you come in: Develop and implement a structured learning management system that enables scaling and continuous improvement.Lead and manage a learning delivery team by confidently directing work and delegating tasks.Work with cross-functional teams to support the installation and ramp of commercial production.Partner with stakeholders to define, prioritize, and develop learning plans.Assist in recruiting and training subject matter experts who can facilitate engaging learning experiences.Use learning evaluation data to identify opportunities and drive ongoing performance improvement.Ensure compliance with established safety practices and documented quality system procedures.Establish an annual budget and manage expenditures throughout the year.Provide guidance, support, and conflict mitigation to your team.Encourage individual and team development and establish measured performance goals.What makes you successful: 15+ years of coaching, training, and/or development experience, with a minimum of 5 years managing direct reports.Extensive knowledge of adult learning theories and diverse instructional modalities.Strong experience in building and managing work groups and facilitating learning events.Effective communication skills and the ability to adapt communication style for the audience.High level of emotional intelligence and strong conflict mitigation skills.Preferred qualifications include: Manufacturing experience essential, automation environment an advantage.Degrees in training, learning and development, or human performance improvement.Teaching, training, or facilitation certificate or credentials.What you'll get: A front row seat to life-changing CGM technology.A full and comprehensive benefits program.Growth opportunities on a global scale.Access to career development through in-house learning programs.Travel Required: 15-25%
