We are looking for an entrepreneurial, technical, and senior-level leader to serve as a Senior Technical Program Manager. This role leads solution delivery and program management of the biggest technology initiatives within our organization.
The optimal candidate should be experienced in managing cross-cutting technical products and projects with industry-wide impact. You will have a proven track record of planning and delivering complex programs with multi-year roadmap, using Agile and incremental delivery methods. You must have experience working on complex software systems in a customer-centric environment, driving cross-group teams spread across multiple geographies and handling communication from technical developers to Senior VPs. We expect you to write strategic documents and influence large groups of senior stakeholders. You must be able to turn ambiguous problems into simple solutions. A successful candidate for this possesses superb business judgment, a high degree of customer-obsession, has a track record of delivering results, is strong on collaboration, and is data driven.
The AZA Team is responsible for A to Z Assistant (AZA), an AI-powered virtual assistant designed to help Amazon employees find information and complete tasks more efficiently, freeing up time to focus on serving customers. With AZA, we are building on our search improvements and making it faster and easier than ever to get answers and complete tasks. Using natural language, employees simply ask AZA for what they need or are trying to do.
Key job responsibilitiesWork with engineering, product management, operations, marketing, legal, etc. to deliver the Manager Hub solution, globally.Manage complex cross team programs from ideation to delivery.Create transparency and predictability with roadmaps, planning, and partner management.Ensure goals are met on time and hitting our quality bar.Manage delivery schedules and emergent tasks while mitigating risks, managing tradeoffs, and eliminating blockers.Participate in architectural decisions, surfacing and mitigating technical risks, driving complex integrations with internal and 3rd party solutions, retiring technical debt, and identifying opportunity to create operational efficiencies.Drive alignment with leadership in operations and other people experience tech teams.A day in the lifeAre you passionate about building online product experiences that delight customers and deliver business results? BASIC QUALIFICATIONSExperience in technical product or program management.Experience working directly with engineering teams.Experience in software development.Experience in technical program management working directly with software engineering teams.Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience in project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management.Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules.Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership.Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
