  We are hiring  a Staff Nurse - Oncology Day Unit into a Private Hospital in Dublin, Ireland.
  We will provide exceptional patient care in an environment where quality, respect, caring, and compassion are at the center of all we do.
Key Responsibilities    To be aware of the practices and policies set out by the Hospital and the Department of Health on the safe administration of cytotoxic preparations.
To work within a multidisciplinary team to ensure that patients receiving chemotherapy have continued access to specialist care, expertise, and knowledge.
The administration of prescribed cytotoxic chemotherapy to oncology patients via PICC, cannula, Hickman, or Portacath.
To administer chemotherapy according to the protocols as set out by the hospital Cancer Centre.
 To provide information about treatment and side effects - giving written information as appropriate.
 To facilitate effective communication between the patient, multidisciplinary team, and their family.
Assess staff competencies and make patient care assignments.
Delegate appropriate tasks to appropriate personnel, consistent with professional and legal guidelines and departmental standards.
 Maintains clear communications with the Nurse Manager regarding unit needs and incidents.
 Serve as a resource person on the unit.
Assist with all needed patient care.
Adhere to internal controls established for the department.
Requirements NMBI Registered General Nurse license in good standing.
Oncology Related post-graduation qualification desirable Two years of clinical experience preferred.
Oncology experience preferred.
Candidates must possess teaching abilities, professional judgment, leadership qualities, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, and a sense of professional development.
 Must demonstrate multi-tasking ability.
 Utilises effective time management skills.
