What You'll Be Doing: Designing and developing software for the computer-aided design of next-generation microchips.Optimizing and troubleshooting cutting-edge software programs used in the design and verification of integrated circuits.Collaborating with a high-powered R&D team based in Dublin on exciting projects.Utilizing state-of-the-art timing analysis, machine learning, cloud computing, and runtime/memory optimization techniques.Bringing innovative ideas to life and contributing to the continuous technological advancement of the company.Engaging in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment that fosters creativity and innovation.The Impact You Will Have: Contributing to the development of software that is essential for designing next-generation microchips.Enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of integrated circuit design and verification processes.Driving technological innovation within the EDA industry.Supporting the creation of high-performance silicon chips and software content.Helping Synopsys maintain its leadership position in the EDA domain.Enabling the advancement of technologies that shape the future of various industries, including automotive, consumer electronics, and more.What You'll Need: A minimum of an MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
A Doctorate or equivalent industrial experience is desired.Aptitude for problem-solving and creative thinking.Proven ability to code complex software, preferably in C or C++.Proven ability to bring a significant project to a successful conclusion.Strong history of academic performance in relevant fields such as mathematics, digital systems, and electronics.Experience with algorithms and data structures.Familiarity with software engineering principles and multithreading and distributed computing.Knowledge of digital logic design and EDA/CAD tools (e.g., timing, synthesis, layout, routing, SPICE, circuit simulation, gate-level simulation).Experience in machine learning or cloud technologies would be a plus.Who You Are: You are a seasoned professional who understands and applies comprehensive knowledge creatively.
You communicate effectively with parties within and outside of your department and work to achieve operational goals with a direct impact within your area of work.
You handle diverse scope problems, where analysis requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
